Grandma & Grandpa Hepworth Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Hepworth along with Uncle Logan and Auntie Sarah were able to come and visit.  They stayed with us for Baby Sophie's Blessing.  We were able to have lots of fun.

Were took everyone to see the Elk.  It is one of our very favorite things to do ( bonus its free!!)

David loves to pretend he has antlers!

The elk are huge here, unfortunately only about 1/3 of the herd is feeding today
Grandma Hepworth (or as David called her for some reason "Granny") watching the boys

Sammy and David both feel in love with Uncle Logan.  Especially since he would wrestle with them

Love Family bonding time.  We played games and celebrated all of the February Birthdays

David Loving on Auntie Sarah

Poor Sophie was exhausted from all of the excitement

Grandpa Hepworth gave the boys some golf balls with apples from the golf course they went to visit.  Sammy and grandpa really enjoyed each other especially at nap time!!  Thanks for the visit.  We miss you guys and are so happy you could come and visit! See you soon.

Things my kids say con't....

Lately we have been focusing on doing chores with David.  I found a little gumball machine and have been using that as our reward system.  Tonight he earned his gumball right before dinner time and decided to eat before dinner.  I forgot to ask him to spit it out.  Half way through dinner he starts freaking out.  I mean really freaking out "mom, mom its gone, its gone" and the tears are flowing.  I of course have totally forgotten about the gumball at this point and have no clue what he is referring to.  He is finally able to tell me what is gone and is very concern that he will become sick because he swallowed his gum.  I reassure him that he will be fine but its not a good idea to always swallow your gum.  He thinks for a second and asks what happen to it.  I go on to explain that his body wont use the gum so it will come out in his poop in a day or two.  He then proceeds to ask me and I quote " so, will the gum be able to play at the poop circus until it comes out?"  I simply replied "yes".  He accepted it and finished eating.  It took everything I had to excuse myself from the table and to the bathroom before I burst out laughing.  What a kiddo!!!

Well Time is flying by I can not believe we have been in Washington for 3 months already.  We are adjusting well and loving the area.  We are very excited for spring and all of the produce we have been hearing about.  David was very excited for today and his first school valentines party, he was up late and early writing his name on all of his valentines (most were readable).  These pictures were this morning and it took several more than whats here to get a decent one.

What weather we are having!

I am loving the weather now.  It warms up to 50 in the day and cools down to below freezing at night.  The sun has been shining for over a week now and the kids will be so sad if we have to spend a day inside.  David is getting really good on his bike and we are trying to decide when to take the training wheels off.  Sammy is finally starting to pedal on his own, sort of.  We have found several parks to play at and love exploring new ones.  Tomorrow we are trying a new one out of town with some new friends for a lunch date.  AS the weather has staring warming up the allergies are already setting in too.  Thanks to Singular and Zyrtec for helping be the out door family we are!!  Smiles and hugs to all.

Our Newest Hepworth Addition

Yesterday mom finally broke down and got a pet.  Everyone say hello to "sugar bug"!!!

David and Sammy gave Sugar bug his name.  Even as hard as we tried we(me and Bryan) couldn't change it.  The boys love feeding him though I am a little worried he is going to have a weight problem later on.  Hopefully this fish will last a little longer than the last one. (He only lived 5 days) I cant remember is name though.  Just in case you are wondering about the papers hanging on the wall in the back ground, I will explain.  Grandma sent us some tracing dinosaurs and our kitchen/dining area is now a dinosaur forest and that is where sugar bug lives.  Welcome to the jungle Sugar Bug great to have you around little buddy.

Davids Creativity

Here is Davids latest artwork as you may notice some of the fish are upsidedown well these are the fish that are dead, yes dead. They were attacked by the sticky octopus. Than the nerve of those octopi, they tried sinking the ship, but there was hero turttle that saved them, lucky uh.

Our "Little Dribbler"

Well this week David experience Basketball for the first time.  We signed him up at the civic center here in Selah.  So far he is doing pretty well, the coach is a saint.  These kids are so funny to watch.  Some of them are very talented and others, not so much.  As we were sitting in the gym I was flashing back to last spring when we had signed David up for Baseball.  Well lets just say he was the kid sitting on his base, not standing and entertaining the crowd in the stands by seeing how much dirt could fit into his hat and then putting on his head.  I am hopeful that Basketball will go a little smoother than that!!

This is the drill for dribbling that they worked on for 15 min we did see some improvement!!

This is the coach working one on one with David.  He asked them to dribble around the little yellow cone. I am not sure I could have done it, but David didn't give up and is very excited to go back next week to learn so more.

Sorry about the picture quality hopefully they will be better for the next set.
