Poor Sammy

My poor Sammy caught a bug! He is one miserable kiddo. Last on Sunday he had coughed so much he couldn't even get himself to bed and decided to give up and curl up on the kitchen floor!  Then the vomiting started.  On Monday I took him to the Dr for chest xray and flu swab of course they came back negative (that is a good thing, right?) I know that moms aren't supposed to tell vomit stories but I just have too! We are sitting in the room waiting for the Dr and Sam pipes up that he is going to puke.  The nurse was in the room and just didn't move very fast, so being the hood mother that I am, I caught it! The nurse was so surprised that I did.  It wasn't too save the room or the table of course, it was out of self preservation so I could ride home in the car with Sam! So we are on house quarantine sort of.  Tonight is the big pine wood derby.  I think Sammy will be wearing a mask so David can go.  Hopefully it will be a smooth ride I will update you later!

Oh the joys of homework

Dreams coming true!

I so I know I'm crazy but bear with me.   From the time I was little I always dreamed of French braiding my little girls hair!  Today that dream came true!  Abbys hair is finally long enough. I was giddy!  She sat completely still and it held all day. I couldn't believe it.  Anyway it was a great day for me!

Pictures say a thousand words

As far as pictures go this one speaks volumes.  We had such a hard day yesterday with other Abby.  She was into everything.   As I was cleaning and sorting she was destroying!  She took all the #10 food cans of the shelf and in found so dropped a full one of peaches onto her foot.  I had a moment or two where I thought for sure it was broken.   She shredded (literally not figuratively) 2 books.  She dumped the bucket of trains over, which is normally Ok if you play with them but she just walked away!  She unrolled a roll of Toleit paper and just though she was so amazing!  This picture is from just prior to dinner.   Spaghetti and peaches.  Well she wanted her peaches first. ... insert picture here. ....I said no, she needed to eat her spaghetti first.   Needless to say after dinner she had a very quick bath and went to bed!  Is a good thing today was a new day!

So much for back to school!

Second day back to school and a transformer blows! No power at the school! After picking up the boys we decided to have a picnic in the house.  We pulled the slide inside and dired it off, honestly I'm not sure why I didn't do this sooner Abby l loves it! Hopefully a "normal" schedule will be on for tomorrow but for today it's all fun and games again :)

Abby loves my camera!

So rocking Abby to sleep an nd she insists that we take pictures! She is so funny these days. She is talking up a storm and loves to talk on the phone to anyone who will listen.

Somewhat Sunny and so not sunny days

So during winter break we had several "Sunny" days.  Now I say l "sunny" because it is relative to where you live which I don't think I ever understood! Any way we enjoyed every "sunny" moment we could outside! We explored some new beaches, walked along the river and played at the park.  We also Dutton mg the not so sunny moments built forts, made crafts, read books, and had movie nights with sleep overs ok n the grill n by room.  Needless to say l was very grateful for school to start again!

New years eve 2013-2014

Me and the kids celebrated New Year's Eve in the astoria ward building on new York time! Unfortunately Bryan had to be in Yakima for work :(  we had so much fun sharing talents an nd having a dance party in the gym.  The boys were especially excited about counting down.  Abby was just tall enough to reach the dessert table and kept helping herself to the costco size chocolate cookies.  I'm pretty sure she had at least 3 or 4 before the night was over. Sister Oja brought the mustaches and lips for pictures and one of the ward members made balloon animals.  One of the Elders from the ward was very talented and drew the pictures of the kids! It was a fun way to ring in the New Year!
