2 Weeks old today.

I know times flies when you are having fun but wow has it gone fast. Between the lack of sleep, the attempt at maintaining the clean house grandma helped create and entertaining the boys there has been a few moments where I have been able to sit and truly contemplate that we are a family of 5! Wow!! It seems like it happened so fast even though I remember the 9 months of yuckyness to get our little angel here!! We are all so excited to begin this adventure and get back on the road so to speak!! I am trying to stop and smell the roses along the way!!!

Gas or dreaming??

Yes I know great title right??? But I wonder which one was affecting miss Abby in this photo. I just finished feeding her and she started smiling. I happen to have my phone and was able to capture this picture. So previous.

Abby's first week

Wow has this week flown by. I just can't believe it. She is doing so good!! I think I will work my way backwards to the last post. This morning mom is officially on her own again. Daddy is back to work and we sent grandma on the plane this morning!! We were so excited that we got an extra day with her that I think the boys were expecting another. David came down this morning and expected her to still be here. When he realized that she wasn't boy did the tears flow. Yesterday, she was supposed to fly out but we were unable to get to the airport due to a freeway closure cause of a fatal accident here in Selah. We were both kind of on shock that she had to stay another day, but boy did we use it to our advantage!!

Abby has been doing great!! She is gassy but we hope we have a system down with simethicone and gripe water that she has had a few 3-4hr stretches of sleep. I don't remember which night this week but one night she was so miserable that me and mom made a midnight dash for the scary Walmart to grab simethicone. Let's just say its appropriately named.

We have crafted with the boys, snuggled, laughed, played dress up, dejunked, cleaned and loved this last week.

Thanks grandma for a wonderful visit. We can't wait to see you again soon. I don't know that I can duplicate your wonderful story of Abby off the camera every night but I will try!!

Ok so what mom doesn't dream of dressing her little girl!!! So yeah I have totally fallen into the pink trap. But how could I not. Check this out!!

We have enjoyed snuggle time with her. She is loving it too!!

Abby's first bath

She got her first bath today. She didn't really enjoy the water part but loved her hair being combed. Speaking of hair, I am still in shock over how much and how blonde it is!!

Our Newest Addition

Miss Abigail Jean decided to have her birthday on April 16! We are so excited to have her here. After a slow but productive morning she came quickly at 5:01pm. In fact once she decided to come it was so quick Dr. Johns didn't make it!! She came out and was so curious. Just wide eyed and looking around soaking it all in. After some bonding time with mom and dad we found out her stats. 8 lbs 4.9 oz 19 3/4 inch long head circumference 13 3/4 cm. by moms standards she is perfect size!!! Daddy and grandma were able to be in the hospital with mom. David got to play with Andrew and Hannah. Sammy got to play with Blake and Kaybree. Unfortunately the boys are not able to come to the hospital to see her because of a whooping cough outbreak so they have only been able to see pictures but I know they are very excited to get to hold and kiss her!!

Grandmas first day here!

Grandma finally made it to washington!! The boys could hardly stand it. She was able to fly into yakima do we didn't have a long drive to get her. Both boys had a hard time staying put once they saw her. She unloaded at home and brought Bryan's belated birthday present. Now no one will miss him on his motorcycle. Two day count down to the highly anticipated arrival of Abby!

Playing at the aboritum

So I had never heard of an aboritum before, but it was beautiful! The trees were in full bloom and smelled amazing. The is a pond and birds and a walking path (good for contracting). We enjoyed the pretty colors and animals.

David's first official baseball game!

This is David's first official baseball game. He did great. He played right field and catcher. He got to bat three times and came close to hitting all three. Still a work in progress.

Baseball practice

So David was very excited this year to play baseball. I was a little hesitant but we did it anyway. He is loving it!! He got to play catcher during practice this week. He looks so grown up :(. Sammy enjoys practice too!
