Uncle Jeremy's birthday

Today we celebrated Uncle ( or Aunt, as the boys like to say) Jeremy's Birthday.  The boys were very excited and David desperately wanted to give him something.  His first thought was one of his teddy bears and then I gently reminded him that when you give something to someone as a gift it is now theirs forever.  He rethought about what to give and found a little monkey that I think was a burger king toy and decided that's what Uncle Jeremy would get for his birthday.  He got to wrap it all by himself and was very excited to give it to his uncle.

Uncle Jeremy was a great sport to tell his thank you and how much he loved the used, cheap, burger king toy.  It is moments like this that you love your kids and family because only the love of an understanding uncle (or a brother story below) could make this a great moment!! Thanks Uncle Jeremy and Happy Birthday!!

So the corresponding story to all of this is a video that one day I hope to get my hands on.  I very so carefully wrapped rocks,  yes rocks, to give to I think Matt, it could have been Mike.  He was so nice and grateful to open these rocks. I thought that I was the best sister ever. So you see, it takes a loving family to raise your own.  Thanks everyone!! I love you all and cant wait to see you!

Sammy!!

I am so happy to report that Sammy has decided he wants to be a "big boy" and use the potty.  I wont post any pictures but I will tell you he has officially poop in the toilet all by himself.  YAHOO!! I can not wait to be done with diapers.  He loves to wear his "big boy" underwear.  Most of the time if we go out for an extended period of time I make him wear a pullup just in case, but he has done fantastic.  Who new it could be this easy!!!  ( I hope I didn't just say that too soon!)

The Kids Expo

Today we also went to the Kids Expo.  It was tons of fun.  Most of the booths were address to the kids.  We made crafts

Can you say

Batting Pratice with the Bears Team

Boomer the Bear

Look at that follow through

We had tons and tons of fun and now we are exhausted.  Cant wait till next year.

SOCCER!!!

This morning was the start of Tiny Tots Soccer.  We got David ready to go and boy was he excited.

I had a hard time trying to decide which group to put him in.  He has never played soccer before and he is so tall and just really hasn't gotten control of his limbs so I voted for beginners.  I was right on target.  We finally found the right field and David was hard to contain he was so excited.  Today they ran drills running and kicking the ball (I had forgotten that that is difficult when you can barely run with out falling yourself) and weaving in and out of the cones kicking the ball.

Lets just say I was glad they had a portapotty because I almost peed myself giggling.  It was the cutest thing ever.  The pictures just don't do it justice.  I know he will get better with time and practice but for now I am enjoying every minute.

shopping!

We have had a great weekend first we got together with Jeremy and Kylene.  The boys went golfing.

Kylene, me and the kids all went to Northbend to go SHOPPING!!!!

Visit With Clifford the Big Red Dog!

Today at our local Library Clifford came to visit.  We were able to go with our good friends Andrew, Hannah, and Dakota.  At the library they read a story about Clifford.....

We sang song with silly actions........

And then Clifford came out to join us.......

We had so much fun.  When it was our turn to get to see much (much like standing in line for Santa) Sammy ran to give him a hug I missed the photo op just barely but did my best.  Sammy was not afraid in the least, which made me very happy, in fact he didn't want to leave Clifford. Now he says he wants a Clifford puppy, my excuse is we don't have a big enough house.  David then politely explained that neither did Emily Elizabeth which is why they built Clifford his own house on Birdwell Island.  To say the least we really like Clifford.

Some of the awesome comments went like this

David- Um that's not the REAL Clifford, he is way to small. The real Clifford wouldn't fit in the library

Sammy- Mommy I wove Cwifford

Andrew - Yeah the REAL Clifford would be awesome cause we could ride him.

Needless to say it was a fun trip to the library, Thanks Clifford.

David Growing up!!

David is getting so big! I am not sure how I really felt about him riding his bike without the training wheels.  It was pretty cool to see him take off and do it all by himself.  I am trying to get the video off of my phone as soon as it works I will post it!!

Leavenworth with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson

Sorry this post is so late!! I am trying to catch up!! Yeah right like that's EVER going to happen.  We were in Leavenworth on Feb 22 until the 24th. It was a quick trip but totally worth it.

For those of you who don't know Leavenworth Washington is not a prison, it is a quaint town nestled in the Cascade with a German zest.  We were able to go during the Christmas season that hopefully I will get "back posted"  so you can see some of the fun pics from then.

For this trip we squeezed into Papa Curt's Truck and drove the hour in a half to Leavenworth.  And in that time we went from nice and sunny to blizzard.  The boys were so excited to see the snow again.  Grandpa not so much.  We unloaded and Grandma pulled out more presents.

New "Head Flashlights"
Books and more Books
Aviators can you say COOL!!
We headed off to down town and grandpa took the boys sledding on the perfect little sledding hill.

Mom and grandma shopped and shopped.  While the boys played in the snow. Sammy finally got cold and stopped sledding.
This is the main Pavilion

There are some very fun stores in Leavenworth including a The Hat store.

We tried several on.....
These were the final choices. Sammy only wore is for a short while and then Grandma wore it and forgot why everyone was smiling at her.  David wore his until we got back to the condo.

We found the German equivalent to a Blarney stone and decided to have a go..

While we were there it snowed a lot more and we really took them sledding and it was beautiful.  It took some time to get all dressed up to go out but we were very excited.

Can you say gorgeous!!

David needed his work out

The boys loved pulling each other on the sled it was a great time.  David and grandpa did most of the pulling.  It was a very fun path to walk.

Sammy wasn't so sure about this pose

We found the awesome spot by the river and I couldn't reset the picture moment. You can tell the boys are thrilled about it ( yeah, right)

Next we found some great sledding hills and David got very into it.

I love this place!! I mean it doesn't get any more beautiful.  We had so much fun and we were so tired just ask Sammy

Thanks for a wonderful Trip to Leavenworth.  We had tons of fun and miss you!  Hope to see you soon.

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson were also able to come and visit!! They were able to bring a TRUCK load of stuff from our storage unit, as well as Bryans blue baby!! Oh yeah the motorcycle made it here.   They brought a cool new toy for the boys to play with and we love it!!

Grandma wasn't really kidding when she told grandpa she had packed everything she needed!!  We loved seeing Grandma and Grandpa Johnson.

While they were here we celebrated Bryans birthday!!  The boys were very excited to help daddy open his presents.
In fact they were so excited we decided to set it up in the house!!  It barely fit.  We moved the couches out of the way and the tables and toys.  We all sat back and watched as Grandpa and Daddy set the tent up. ( It says its supposed to take twenty minutes, we will see)

Minute 1

Minute 5 (yes Bryan is reading the directions)

Minute 10

Minute 12

Minute 18 Tick Tock Tick Tock

Well lets just say past the 20 minute mark

Already enjoying the new Tent! Thanks grandma and grandpa!
We cant wait to use it this summer.  We had a very unusual birthday cake for Bryan.  As most of  you know we have made a "lifestyle change" as far as eating habits are concerned so we got a little creative this time around.  What you see in the picture is an apple with a candle, covered in whipped cream and sprinkles.  It was surprisingly good!!  Hope you had a great day Bryan we love you!

Sammy "sneaking" his seconds, thirds and fourths

Grandpa reminding how much fun whipped cream is!
